-Patrons may ask for “librarian’s choice” items for curbside pick up. They may call us and answer a few questions from our staff and let staff pick out some items for them.
Restrictions and Requirements During Open Building Hours:
-6 patrons may be in the library building at one time, which is 25% of our maximum capacity. This does not include staff.
-Children under the age of 12 may only use the library when attended by an adult. The children’s play area is closed.
-Patrons and staff are expected to practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart whenever possible.
-Patrons are asked to limit their visit to the library to 30 minutes per day.
-Staff are required to wear a face covering whenever patrons or other staff are present.
-Patrons are required to wear a face covering while in the library. Face coverings must cover the mouth and nose and we request patrons provide their own. Recognizing that wearing face coverings may not be possible in every situation or for some people, we offer an alternative option. Those individuals can utilize our curbside pick up service. This requirement is for the health and safety of both our patrons and our staff.
-Anyone, both patrons and staff, feeling sick and/or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 should not come to the library and will be asked to leave if they show symptoms.
-The public restrooms and high touch points will be wiped down periodically throughout the day by staff using recommended products.
-Available computers will be available to use first come first serve. Patrons can reserve a computer for 30 minutes at a time by calling ahead during our open building hours. Computers will be positioned at least 6 feet apart. Patrons are expected to wipe down the computer station they use before AND after each use using provided cleaning wipes.
-Printing, copying and faxing services are available for patrons during our open building hours. Patrons are encouraged to use our mobile printing via our website or by downloading the app ePRINTit public printing.
-The library has baskets available and encourages patrons to use them when browsing. They are asked to please put any materials they touch into the basket. If they decide not to check out an item, they are asked to leave it in the basket, return the basket to the circulation desk and our staff will take care of them. Staff will then take the items, quarantine them for at least 24 hours up to 72 hours and then reshelve them.
-There will be no in-library programming.
-Returned materials are quarantined for at least 24 hours up to 72 hours and then checked in and reshelved. Patrons have an extended grace period and will not be charged overdue fines for materials that are returned to the library by their due date, regardless of time spent in quarantine.
